SD Detective Blader
======================================================
Well, this project started about 3 years ago, when we
discussing possible future projects together with
Pennywise after finishing another Jajamaru game.
What turned out to be a piece of cake in the beginning,
transformed into one of the most complicated and time
comsuming projects I've ever worked on, as this game
required an immense amount of hacking activities to be
in the way you can see it now in English.
DvD made his best with deciphering and reversing the
code as well as providing some critical ideas for the
"item" hack, while Pennywise did his job with editing
the script and making a lot of additional and polishing
hacks during the final stage.
The game itself represents a rather rare genre of the
science fiction RPGs and regardless of the simplistic
start, it turns to be one of those NES gems that could
not be experienced by everyone willing back in its time.
You play the role of a space detective investigating
the case of another possible attempt to attack our
blue planet in the distant future, which turns out to
be a rather difficult and amusing task in the end.
The game itself seems to have been inspired by the
live action tv series generally referred to as
Metal Heroes. Although the main inspiration was probably
the Space Sheriff trilogy. If you're unfamiliar with the
series in general, think of it along the lines of
Power Rangers stuff.
This game has quite a unique turn-based battle system,
which is worth experiencing, lovely characters and
a well-done script.
We also uploaded the manual translated in English,
so you can consult it, if you have any difficulties.
And one last thing, do buy the game if you liked it
as much as we did ;) We do not mean that you buy a
repro that destroys a donor cart and profits off of our
hard work.
