What is this game about?
|
|
------------------------
|
|
Nekketu Hockey (better known as Technos Ice Hockey) is a game in the same
|
|
series as River City Ransom, World Cup Soccer, and Super Dodgeball. They're
|
|
all about a guy named Kunio and his friends, who go to Nekketu (Hot-Blooded)
|
|
High School. This game is different from other hockey games in that you can
|
|
bash your opponents all you want and use powered-up Super Shots like in
|
|
Dodgeball. The teams you play are players from other sports. As you beat
|
|
them, you get to wear their uniforms, which have attack/defense attributes
|
|
and special powers (think Rockman).
|
|
|
|
Special Note: Here and there in the script, there are references to "tako."
|
|
For those who don't know, "tako" is Japanese for octopus. It eventually
|
|
becomes kind of a battle cry/insulting term for the members of the team.
|
|
|

Yes and no. TransBRC released an "english" patch for the game, but it was
|
|
not a translation. We at dct didn't even hear about TransBRC's patch until
|
|
we already had a lot of work done on ours, so we decided to continue our work.
|
|
|
|
|
|
How do I use this patch?
|
|
------------------------
|
|
Get SNESTool. Run it. Choose "Use IPS." Select our patch. Select the
|
|
unpatched Japanese Nekketu Hockey ROM. Boom. Done.
|
|
|
|
EMULATION NOTE: Nesticle does not play the title screen music. If you want
|
|
to hear it, use FWNES, BIONES, Loopynes, etc.
|
|
|
|
